Setup Guide

Follow the videos in order to get NinjaTrader 8 installed, connected, and ready. Once you've imported the strategy and found your Machine ID, scroll back up to submit your activation.

0) NinjaTrader overview (6 minutes)

Quick walkthrough so you know where everything is inside NinjaTrader 8.

0.5) Sign up for NinjaTrader

Create your NinjaTrader account, then you can download and log into the Desktop app.

  1. Create your NinjaTrader account
  2. Download NinjaTrader Desktop
  3. Log in to the Desktop app with your new credentials

1) Add your Tradovate prop firm login

Connect Tradovate inside NinjaTrader so your prop firm account can trade through NT8.

  1. Control Center → Connections → Configure
  2. Select Tradovate and add a connection
  3. Enter your prop firm Tradovate username/password
  4. Click OK then connect under Connections

2) Import the strategy (.zip)

In NinjaTrader: Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On… (do not unzip the file).

  1. Control Center → Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…
  2. Select the strategy .zip file (do not unzip)
  3. Finish import, then restart NinjaTrader

3) Find your Machine ID

With NinjaTrader open: Control Center → Help → About. Copy the Machine ID exactly.

  1. Open NinjaTrader 8
  2. Go to Control Center
  3. Click Help → About
  4. Copy the Machine ID
